What we can learn about design from Apple & Steve Jobs

While our jobs as artists aren’t traditionally to design an entire product but rather to design the art and images that make a manufacturer’s product more visually pleasing, there are things we can learn from the design principles used by Apple.  OnlineMBA.com created a great video that shows their “5 design principles” – you can watch it below.

My favorite quote was by Johnathan Ive, Sr VP of Industrial Design at Apple: “It is so important to be light on your feet, inquisitive, and interested in being wrong.”

I believe this is a principle that is understood and a part of every artist who is making a living in the art licensing industry.  I encourage you to take less than 2 minutes to watch this video and decide what principles you can borrow from Apple for your business…

Here’s to your creative success!
