How to link to a specific blog post in WordPress… and hopefully other blog platforms as well

In the Ask About WordPress for Artists call with Kim Beasley on March 20, 2013, we talked about how to link to a specific blog post on a WordPress blog. Here is the video demo I promised!

If you want to share your blog posts on social media, in newsletters and elsewhere, it’s important to use a link to the specific post and not one that just goes to the most recent blog post- there is nothing more frustrating than following a link that doesn’t take you where you want to go!

Here is a 2 minute video demo so you can see just how easy it is – I now expect to see direct links from everyone who reads this blog. :)

Here’s to your creative success!

P.S.  Here is a direct link to the blog post to learn more about the call and all the other things Kim talked about regarding WordPress:)

  • With having so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagerism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d truly appreciate it.
