If they started a bookstore or computer repair business they might treat themselves more seriously but as artists they don't. I hope your readers understand that u r trying to shake them into doing the best they can for themselves and your post is a response to the frustration u obviously feel on their behalf. If it was cheap and easy, we wouldn't have quality products and we'd never make the big bucks. I think the high cost also pushes me to hold off until I'm ready and when I am, it'll push me to create and present my best work. I'm busy making art for kids' books, so licensing is on the back burner. I'm learning and becoming a better artist and I now have the income to invest in myself when I'm ready.
